NEW FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS

Improvement of vehicle speed limiter:
• Addition of the possibility for the driver to increase or decrease the vehicle speed by the mean of two buttons.
• Vehicle speed limiter more efficient: faster reaction and smoother.
• See new document 'Meteor86 Vehicle speed limiter configuration - V110' with full example of tuning.
 

Selection of cylinder 1 TDC for injection phase:
• P
ossibility to phase the injection in relation with the cylinder 1 exhaust TDC or in relation with the compression TDC.

Improvement of the possibility of manually modifying the mini-maxi calibration of motorized throttles:
 In case the throttle does not have minimum or maximum mechanical stops, the electric motor exceeds the normal min and max positions.
• 
When exceeding the normal maximum opening, the throttle gears are forced and the teeth of the plastic gear wear and destroy over time.
•

Smooth out jerks during foot lifts and rehitching (V180):
• particularly useful with multi-throttle engines which give significant jolts in these conditions.
• See new document 'Meteor86 Ignition Throttle-rpm - V130'.

Data transmission by CAN-Bus to DashBoards (V170):
• InjMin configuration (Injall reduced) now passes fuel pressure, oil pressure and oil temperature.

Correction of Engine commands test function (V160):
• In 8-cylinder injection configuration, the test of the 7th injected cylinder did not work on older versions.
• No problem was existing in normal operation on 8 cylinders.

Improvement distributed ignition on engines with dual distributor (V150):
• In this mode, the ECU always command the first two ignition outputs to handle engines with dual distributors.
• Each of the two commands now has a map of advance correction to program a shift between the two distributors.

Improvement of the balance between cylinders for knock measurement (V140):
Accepts a larger difference between the cylinders signal levels.

Securization of engine synchronization in case of phase sensor failure (V140):
Synchronization is not performed if the Hall effect phase sensor only sends ground.

Possibility to use the WinjNet sensors received by the auxiliary XCAN-BUS (V130):
• The WinjNet sensors are Skynam standard sensors not directly connected to the ECU connector, but received by the auxiliary XCAN-BUS (example DigiLSU or LSU49-CA wide band Lambda modules).
• So no physical input of the ECU is used

Memorization of performed engine protections (V130):
• 
The ECU saves the performed protections in a permanent memory (it therefore remembers the protections it has performed even if the ignition is switched off).
• T
his memorization allows to check what happened before when you were not connected to the ECU with the PC, for example why the engine was stopped or why the torque was reduced.

Improvement of fuel pressure protection (V130):
• A map gives the waiting time in seconds before engine stop protection when the fuel pressure drops below the minimum limit.
• This allows to not cutoff the engine on a simple oscillation of fuel pressure.

Improvement of twin turbos operation (V130):
When there are two twin turbos (1 per cylinder bank) and they are controlled by electric motor (like a VGT)

Complete flex-fuel management with Ethanol content sensor (v120).

Machine gun Hard cut limiter with burst of flames (v120).

Nota:
• Does not contain Winjall software. Winjall must first be downloaded and installed apart.
• Does not contain the sensors convertion maps nor the actuators command maps. These maps have to be downloaded and installed apart with the pack SensAct.

NEEDING Winjall V9.8.0.0 (see specific downloading)

V9.8.0.0 or later version of Winjall software must mandatory have been installed first.

 

HOW TO UPGRADE TUNEWARES

• Download new .zip Meteor86 software pack file and save it in a directory on your hard disk.
• If you have already install a former version of this pack, you have to usinstall it before installing this new one:
In Windows XP, execute 'Start/Parameters/Configuration/Add-Remove programs'.
In Windows 7 and latter versions, execute 'Start/Parameters/Configuration/Programs and features'.
In the software list, select Commander88 then 'Uninstall'. Follow uninstall instructions.
• With the explorer, double click on the downloaded software pack .zip file, then double click on Setup. At the question on files extraction, answer 'Extract All'.
• If the installation does not automatically start: in the new directory created by the extraction, double click on Setup (application).
