THE CHALLENGER7 IS FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH THE OLD CHALLENGER4+ AND CHALLENGER4, AND EVEN CHALLENGER3, WHICH ARE NO MORE MANUFACTURED AND SUPPORTED, TO AVOID YOU TO BUY A SECOND HAND ECU WITH OFTEN THE BAD SURPRISE TO RECEIVE BROKEN ELECTRONICS OR IN BAD CONDITION.

We offer it voluntarily at a very low price to help those who, having already purchased one of our old ECUs, now want a war machine without having to redo their installation.

The Challenger7 has been designed for those who want to conquer thanks to an ultra modern ECU. Like the Challenger4+, it allows managing the 4-6 and 8-cylinder engines in semi-sequential injection and lost sparks ignition and allows in more to manage the 4-cylinder in static ignition. It also manages the engines in distributed ignition.

 

IT IS MOUNTED DIRECTLY ON THE CHALLENGER4+ LOOM AND YOU IMPORT THE TUNINGS FROM THE CHALLENGER4+ WITH A SIMPLE CLICK.

VERY IMPORTANT, for the installation on the loom of the CHALLENGER3 AND CHALLENGER4 (but not for the 4+), you must add ignitions modules under penalty of burning the Challenger7 outputs. We can provide them if needed with connectic.
In more, for the Challenger3 you must add a second wire of injection command, because the Challenger3 was working in full-group while the Challeger4, 4+ and 7 work in semi-sequential.

Note that the connection wire between the PC and the Challenger7 ECU is the same than the one for the Challenger5 and Challenger6. It is different than the one used with the Challenger4+, 4 and 3. If you don't already have this connection FTDI, you should order it together with your Challenger7 to be able to communicate with it.

 

IN ADDITION TO THE CHALLENGER4+ FEATURES

 Thanks to its high performance microprocessor (calculates in 32 bits while many other brands calculate in 8 or 16 bits) the Challenger7 allows to get astonishing accelerations.

Selection of hard cut or soft cut RPM limiter. The hard cut limiter allows a modification of ignition advance and injection time for a machine gun limiter with burst of flames.

 An exhaust bang is done at the end of sequential gear shifting because the normal ignition advance is recovered with a slope allowing to avoid jolts in the transmissions.

A full self-learning function allows the ECU to auto tune its injection time map when equipped with a Lambda sensor (needs a professionnal license, or on option with standard license).

HELP IN THE SETTING OF A NEW ENGINE
For a fast tuning, the maps of engine start, engine temperature rise, accelerating pumps and atmospheric altimetric pressure and intake t° corrections are preset for the ignition advance as for the injection.
The PID of devices commands (fly by wire, proportional camshaft, air intake proportional electrovalve, turbo) are also preset.

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS OF ENGINE MANAGEMENT
Advanced engine management functions allow a total optimization of the engine working:
• Full self-learning of injection time map with display of learning instantaneous quality
• Cylinder by cylinder correction of ignition in mode static ignition
• Operation in two injection rails with gradual shifting from one to the other
• Proportional positioning of camshafts
• Continuous survey of richness by Lambda sensor (wideband or 0-1 volt)
• Altimetric and/or dynamic pressure correction

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS OF RPM LIMITER AND LAUNCH PROCEDURE
• Rpm limiter on injection or ignition or both together or one after the other
• Soft cut or Hard cut limiters selectable
• Several launch limiter and race limiters, selectable by a rotator (rotary switch) at the vehicle board
• The different launch limiters allow to adapt to the road grip conditions
• Tunable gradual limiter raising from launch limiter to race limiter to avoid wheels slipping at vehicle take-off
• Injection time and ignition advance correction during launch procedure to get high turbo pressure for a cannonball take off
• Soft cut limiter: gradual cylinder per cylinder cutoff, and turning (always begins the cutoff sessions with a different cylinder to avoid always heating the same cylinder)
• Hard cut limiter: all the cylinders are cutoff at the same time, with tunable hysteresis to uncut the cylinders with tunable modification of ignition advance and injection time for a machine gun limiter with burst of flames


ADVANCED FUNCTION OF TRACTION CONTROL
• Traction control by engine acceleration monitoring in function of the gear position

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS OF GEARBOX MANAGEMENT
Sequential gearbox management or specific management of robotized gearbox.
• Logical or analog switch (strain gauge) with definition of the triggering thresholds
• The order of gears can be automotive type, motorcycle or special
• Intervention time in function of gear position and engine speed
• Intervention at gear upshift on ignition by cutoff and/or advance modification with slope of return to normal (transmissions protection generating bang and exhaust flame)
• Engine automatic acceleration (autoblip) and ignition cutoff at downshif

ADVANCED FUNCTION OF CAMSHAFTS POSITIONNING
The proportional positioning is executed by a PWM command with selectable frequency.
The camshafts targets can be:
• on state mark
• on position mark
• on one missing tooth
• on one supplementary tooth

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS OF TURBO MANAGEMENT
• Turbo management by intake pressure control
• Management of wastegates with back pressure
• Pressure target tunable according to rpm and throttle (or pedal) position
• Bang-bang (antilag system) at the starting up for cannonball launch
• Bang-bang managed with fly by wire, proportionnal air electrovalve or mecanical throttle opening device
• Bang-bang disabling by dashboard switch for road driving

ADVANCED ENGINE MEASUREMENTS
• Every measure has a customizable digital filtering
• For every measure, it is possible to define a strategy of detection of failure, a strategy of replacement value in case of failure, or to use the standard strategies supplied by the ECU
• Wideband or 0-1 volt Lambda sensor

AUXILIARY CAN-BUS
A completely programmable auxiliary CAN-BUS (11 and 29 bit identifiers, speed up to 1 Mbits) allows to send desired data to the others connected nodes, data recording or dashboard.

AUXILIARY OUTPUTS
5 completely programmable auxiliary outputs.
They can be configured in On-Off (programmable hysteresis), PWM from 10 to 10000 Hz or angular (engine synchronous) commands, with adjustable cyclical ratio (and phase), and piloted by any combination of parameters known by the ECU.
It is for example possible to command in ON-OFF, PWM or synchronously with the engine external devices in function of the race switch, or throttle position, engine rpm, temperatures (On-Off or gradual speed fans), limiter type, ...
